Because “promdi” (coined from the phrase “from the province”) like me never gets to see skyscrapers very often, I took the liberty of taking these mobile shots when we were wandering around the metropolis two weeks ago.
En route to EDSA, I still saw those familiar giant industries that sits beside this portion of the Pasig River.
It might make one tourist revel about the parks and the greens that were built beside the once famed river.
But, as long as factories and chemical industries (which produces wastes and toxics) continues to operate there, I am not sure how things under the Pasig rehabilitation will progress.
With the onset of the rainy months, (remember the Marikina flooding?), along with the flood waters came tons of garbage floating in this river, too. Shall we act too late, for the nth time? Yet again?
Authorities may not be lacking on government controls and laws, but as always, the primary problem lies in the lack of enforcement.

Happy Blue Monday, Imriz.
turista sa sariling bayan.. ahihihi… when visiting mla I can only see the nice side of mla and not the grim side of it… was here sistah!
What captures my attention ay ang naglalakihang billboard. Grabe naman yan ang laki wala pa silang mas malaki pa dyan na pwedeng pang roof na? LOl!! I think pwede naman sigurong maging maganda ang Pasig as long as yung mga factory and the houses along the river will not throw their waste sa tubig. But it will never happen, just hoping that when rain season comes malinis na lahat mga tubig labasan para wala nang flooding. ^_^
Blue Monday
hehehe.. ganyan din ako pag napadpad ng manila.. hehehe
